The owner of Kartabar Playa del Carmen is Philippe Maatouk, who insists on having every client’s opinion on the food. He will visit you in your table and will check if everything is all right with your meals and your time in the bistro. Philippe says that he considers every client a VIP and he pays you the needed attention every time. This is what he considers to be professionalism and the staff here follows the same rules.

The menu in Kartabar Playa del Carmen includes Mediterranean dishes and some of the American classics. You will not make a mistake if you try the delicious Calamari Corfu which is a very nice hummus appetizer.

Here you can have a delicious meal and combine it with a refreshing drink. The grilled pizza here is really tasty. In Kartabar you can not only have a meal or a drink, but do both in a very relaxing atmosphere. The prices in Kartabar are really affordable. The ambiance of this place makes you feel like you are in New York, but fortunately the prices are much lower than those in New York. For example, the grilled Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola cheese will cost you about $20.

When the weather is nice, the patio tables outdoors gather a lot of couples, having nice small talks. Kartabar creates a warm, family ambiance. Philippe treats everyone like a part of his family and wants to make you feel really comfortable. The staff is also ready to meet to and serve you with a smile.
After 11:30 pm you can have here a very nice lunch and you can choose from the variety of sandwiches, Panini and pasta dishes. Until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays you can have a full dinner menu. The well-chosen night menu is also really good.

For your private party the special Philippe’s Room offers a unique ambiance and is perfect for all types of parties. The room is suitable for up to 35 people, having dinner or up to 60 standing ones, having drinks from the special bar in the room. For more privacy, there is a curtain that can be drawn to separate you from the main dining area.
