I often travel to Cancun and for this my vacation I didn't know to what new place to go. I've already visited a lot of places in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and I was looking for something new. Bacalar isn't so popular among tourists as Cancun or other world-known places in Quintana Roo. However there is no sea there but there is a large and unique Laguna Bacalar known for its bright colour of fresh water. It is said that you can admire 7 tones of blue colour because this lake is composed of 7 cenotes. I decided if I don't like it I can rent a car and go to Cancun or Playa del Carmen which isn't far away. But my expectations didn't disappoint me. Laguna Bacalar is calm and beautiful place. There are a lot of hotels and hostels, restaurants and cafes in Bacalar. The water is very beautiful and isn't inferior to the sea. Also there is a lot of things to do: visit cenotes, Mayan ruins, Bacalar's park, to sail and to admire an unspoiled nature etc. You won't be bored!
