The dive shop was set up in 1997 by an American, before the creation of the Puerto Morelos National Marine Park. It was intentionally operated as a small family business then and continues that way today. This makes Wet Set a more personalized scuba and snorkeling center in comparison to the larger Riviera Maya tours in Cancun and in Playa del Carmen. We answer your questions and address your concerns first, then have fun together!

We are native English speaking PADI professionals that strive to communicate clearly with you and our local staff members about your expectations. We understand that by focusing on preventative maintanence, assisting you with selecting and sizing equipment, taking the time for safety checks, carrying heavy gear for you, giving detailed briefings before the tour starts and using local knowledge to adapt to underwater conditions provide consistent high quality experiences.

The owners are Tadd and Lindsay. They have led over a thousand dives between them and taught hundreds of people the joy of snorkeling and exploring the undersea world through a scuba diving course. When Tadd and Lindsay met in 2008, Lindsay was producing and directing television in New York City and Tadd was diving and leading SNUBA® tours in Florida. They arrived here by sailboat in the autumn of 2011. They have since sold the boat and now live nearby the dive shop.
