Plaza Playcar is good choice to look for some typical Mexican souvenir. Playcar is located south of Playa del Carmen town by the beach, is a quiet exclusive residential area with some hotels and a nice beach. I found this open shopping when I was walking by, to explore the area. More than souvenirs shops, there are cafes, restaurants! Plaza Playcar is a great place with a beautiful kind of colonial Mexican architecture! Nice to check it out.
