Grand Oasis Cancun

Let me start off with saying I am not one to go out of my way and write a bad review but this place was absolutely horrible and I most definitely will never be going back and don't want anyone else to have the experience I did. I met my family in Cancun since i live 1,600 miles away from them and there was a total of 7 of us. We stayed in 3 rooms and got the All-inclusive package. We stayed for 8 days and 7 nights. When I first got there it took me almost 3 hours to check in and get a room key. When we did get assigned a room there was a toenail next to our front door and I waited to see how long it would take someone to sweep it up and it took 4 DAYS!!! The doorknob/lock on our door broke 4 times during our stay and they had to send maintenance to fix it and by fix it i mean open it up and stuff paper in places that would make the batteries connect better, 3 of the times it broke was on our 2nd to last day there and not once did they say they would replace the lock or switch us to a room with a working door. Also our shower was broken, some of the lights flickered or were out completely, our coffee machine was falling apart, we found stains on the sheets and pillowcases and there was no remote control for the TV. Even though the coffee machine was falling apart it did still work so we made coffee our first morning there and did not get a refill the entire time we were there. We tried asking for coffee but 75% of the staff didn't speak a word of english and would just point us in a different direction. The only staff at the resort that can understand english is the front desk staff and the servers at the restaurants. The housekeepers, security, maintenance staff, ect.. couldn't understand a single word. The last 4 days of our stay they were apparently out of towels and me and my sister shared 1 big bath towel because the housekeeper took all the dirty towels on our 4th day there and nobody replaced them. Also our room had no beach towels and when we called the front desk they said we could pick some up at one of the 3 huts they had with beach towels. The only hut that opens on time is the hut that only supplies towels for the guests who are staying in the "pyramid" (main building of the 5 buildings they have) and will keep directing you to the other locations even though the other locations have nobody working them and when they do they open 2 hours late. I saw one lady get so frustrated she climbed over the counter and grabbed the beach towels herself because they wouldn't give her any. No matter who we asked about their experience they had something negative to stay.
