Yal-Ku Lagoon is a place of unseen gems and it is a paradise in itself that is not known by many of the people.

A large number of colorful beautiful fish will be there to catch your sight and to delight you; hence, the Yal Ku Lagoon is a big spot for snorkeling. This not only includes fishes like blue tangs, stingrays, barracudas and parrot fish to make you wonder but also much attention-grabbing creatures will mesmerize you completely. They are there in depths of less than six feet that may have only small waves. The rock structure and arrangement present make the underwater picture more captivating. While snorkeling, a unique ecosystem for the exotic marine creatures can be observed completely. Some of the kinds of tropical fishes are also kept here in Lagoon before leaving them in the Caribbean Sea until they grow to their appropriate size and development.

Yal-Ku Lagoon is located at the meet up point of lucid saline water of the Caribbean Ocean and the sweet clean water of the Yucatan peninsula. A small coastline is also there that remains open each day from 8:00 to 5:30 with the charge of $9.00 for adults and $6.00 for children.

105 km south of Cancun, the Cenote Yal-Ku lagoon is sited in Akumal on the highway of Cancun-Tulum.
